The Walled Garden at Beeston Fields is ten minutes from my front door, and one of the most beautiful outdoor venues in Nottingham. I have worked there many times over the years and it never gets old. Gavin is a professional chef, so for once, someone else was doing the cooking. Laura and Gavin filled their sunny wedding day with people who genuinely loved being there, and it showed in every corner of that garden. The best man walked to the mic, said “a best man speech should only be as long as the groom can make love”, dropped the mic, and sat back down. The room erupted. That was the speech and he never said anything else, which made it even funnier.
