Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 2026

This policy explains how Gary Phillip Photography collects and uses your personal data when you visit this website or make an enquiry. It is written in plain English because we think that is how it should be.

The data controller is Gary Phillip Photography. If you have any questions or requests, email hello@garyphillip.co.uk.

Information we collect

Enquiry form. When you submit an enquiry through this website, your name, email address, wedding date, and any other details you include are sent directly to us by email. We use this information only to respond to your enquiry and to discuss your wedding photography.

Cookies and tracking. With your consent, this website uses the Meta pixel — a small piece of code from Facebook/Meta that helps us understand how people find us through our advertising. The Meta pixel may collect your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and whether you have a Facebook account. This data is processed by Meta under their own privacy policy, which you can read at facebook.com/privacy/policy.

If you decline cookies, the Meta pixel is not loaded and no tracking data is collected. The website works fully without it.

Google Fonts. This website loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means your IP address and browser information are sent to Google's servers when the page loads. Google processes this data under their own privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.

How we use your information

We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with any third parties beyond those named in this policy. We do not send marketing emails unless you have asked us to stay in touch.

How long we keep your data

Enquiry emails are kept for up to two years. If you become a client, we keep relevant communications for up to seven years in line with standard business record-keeping. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access the data we hold about you, to request its correction or deletion, and to withdraw consent for tracking at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@garyphillip.co.uk and we will respond within 30 days.

You can also opt out of Meta's use of your data for advertising at any time through your Facebook account settings, or via youronlinechoices.com.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
